Russia is losing her generals

The sources of the Russian Generals Blog have informed us that the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation has just lost two eminent military leaders. We are talking about the former Commander-in-Chief of Ground Forces General of the Army Vladimir Boldyrev and Commander-in-Chief of the North Caucasian Military District General-Colonel Sergey Makarov. Officially, they have retired upon "reaching the retirement age" (which is now 55 for the Russian generals). Both generals have distinguished themselves in the two Chechnya Wars. As of today they are replaced by General-Colonel Alexander Postnikov and General-Lieutenant Alexander Galkin respectively.
