General Vladimir Popovkin: "No BMPT for you!"

More bad news for the Russian Army. According to Izvestia, Russia did quite well at the DSA 2010 - The 12th Defence Services Asia Exhibition And Conference that was held from 19 - 22 April 2010 at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Thus, a real "hit" was the BMPT - a new Russian armored vehicle designed to support tank and infantry operations, primarily in urban areas. Look for yourself what this vehicle nicknamed "Terminator" can do:

Nevertheless, according to General-Colonel Popovkin, who is in charge of rearmament of the Russian Army and a deputy of the Defence Minister Anatoly Serduykov, the Russian Army is not interested in purchasing the BMPT (as well as other weapons developed and produced in Russia), whose design incorporated the experience that the Russian soldiers acquired during the 1st and 2nd Chechen Wars.
